SAMBA Investment Roundtable
Swiss MBA Association (SAMBA) is an international network of 4’500+ members with the purpose to connect alumni/students from leading universities (with a link to Switzerland) and expand their professional networks through exclusive events, conferences and services.
SAMBA Investment Club organizes the monthly Investment Roundtable with top CIOs and has, among others, a strategic partnership with the Alliance of Swiss Asset Managers. We provide a platform for asset managers to profile and showcase themselves.
During the monthly virtual roundtable (for 1 hour - usually on ZOOM), participants share their investment expertise on global financial markets and contribute their opinions and suggestions - for educational purposes only!
We invite top CIOs of leading asset managers to present their views on financial markets and how they introduce their respective products to these markets.
About twice a year, we organize a physical meeting in the Zurich area, where we exchange views and then enjoy an apero in convivial company.
Our Focus
Prepare an outlook for the calendar year, which forms the basis for continuous review and revision during the year.
Record all investment ideas in a watchlist during the meetings and also review these ideas on an ongoing monthly basis by a committee.
Our model portfolio - SAMBA Flex Portfolio in CHF, has been running since mid-February 2022 and was initially fed with CHF 1 million of virtual money. This portfolio consists of direct positions, ETFs and mutual funds. Currently, it consists of around 30 positions. It is for educational purposes only - no real investments are involved to avoid any need for regulation by FINMA.
We invite leading fund companies and asset managers to present their macro view, investment style and why their style is successful.
