Fireside Chat with Dieter Vranckx and Andreas Staubli, CEO, PwC Switzerland

The Swiss-Belgian dual citizen Dieter Vranckx has been CEO of SWISS since January 2021. In this position, he will, in reaction to the radically changed market conditions, further develop and refine SWISS’ strategy and business model in both, the passenger and cargo field, to restore profitability and structural sustainability.

He has worked in numerous aviation top management positions for more than twenty years worldwide, over thirteen of them for Swissair and SWISS, with locations in Hong Kong, Zurich, Chicago, Singapore and Brussels. Additional experiences within the Lufthansa Group round up the aviation career with most recently, Vice President Asia Pacific, and the position of CEO at Brussels Airlines.

Dieter Vranckx holds a Master of Business Administration from the Solvay Business School in Brussels. In 2007, he completed a General Management Program at London Business School and an Advanced Management Module at IMD Business School Lausanne in 2016.

Since 2004, Dieter Vranckx has been elected to various boards of directors, such as Member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Singaporean Chamber in Singapore in 2017 and President of the Star Alliance Switzerland in Zurich in 2013. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Edelweiss Air AG.
